Today, I have some very grateful news to share.
When I checked Amazon’s bestseller ranking for “Books > Psychology > Trauma Psychology” at 22:59 on April 15, 2026, my books
『Before Gaslighting Breaks You』 were at No. 1,
and 『Collective Gaslighting: Protecting Yourself from Family, Workplace, and Small Groups』 were at No. 3.
Thank you so much to everyone who has read them.
I’m deeply grateful that so many of you have actually picked up these books and taken an interest in them.
Confirmed No. 1 and No. 3 in Amazon’s “Trauma Psychology” bestseller ranking

The ranking I checked this time was Amazon’s bestseller ranking in the “Trauma Psychology” category.
The rankings change over time, but as confirmed at 22:59 on April 15, 2026, they were as shown above.

Also, what I’m referring to here is the paperback edition, not the Kindle edition.
Since it may be mistaken for an ebook, I want to make that clear as well. On Amazon, a paperback edition of 『Before Gaslighting Breaks You』 is listed, and it also appears on the author page. A paperback edition of 『Collective Gaslighting』 can also be found on Amazon.
What kind of book is 『Before Gaslighting Breaks You』?
The title listed on Amazon for 『Before Gaslighting Breaks You』 is
『Before Gaslighting Breaks You: How to Spot the Signs and Take Steps to Escape the Damage』
As the title suggests, this book focuses on recognizing the signs of gaslighting and finding a way out of its harm. Amazon lists the paperback edition.
Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation that shakes another person’s sense of reality, memory, and judgment, making them feel as if “maybe I’m the one who’s wrong.” On my blog, I describe gaslighting as psychological manipulation that works by making someone doubt their perception of reality, memory, and judgment.
In this book, I wrote it so that people suffering from such hard-to-see psychological control can more easily organize their thoughts about
“what is happening,”
“why it feels so painful,”
and “how to move toward getting out of it.”
What kind of book is 『Collective Gaslighting: Protecting Yourself from Family, Workplace, and Small Groups』?
The other book,
『Collective Gaslighting: Protecting Yourself from Family, Workplace, and Small Groups ― Dysfunctional families, cult-like environments, scammers’ tactics… How not to be swept away by “group manipulation” ruled by lies』
focuses not only on one-to-one relationships, but also on gaslighting and group manipulation that happen in places involving multiple people, such as families, workplaces, and small groups. A paperback edition can be confirmed on Amazon, and I also introduce the book on my blog as a related title.
In my blog posts, as themes related to this book, I address issues such as
“when false abuse stories are spread and family members agree without checking, collective gaslighting becomes more likely,”
and the problem of how, when those stories are passed around without verification, the person involved is pushed into a situation where they “aren’t believed.”
It’s not only about confusion inside one person; there is suffering that only becomes visible when you also consider the surrounding atmosphere, conformity, exclusion, and impression management.
That is why this book organizes ways to protect yourself while keeping in view the “collective distortions” that occur in families, workplaces, and small groups.
Why I write about this topic
I feel that the problems of gaslighting and collective psychological manipulation should be more widely known.
That’s because these issues are hard to see from the outside, and even the person being harmed is often made to doubt themselves,
thinking,
“Maybe I’m the one at fault,”
“Maybe I’m overthinking it.”
On my blog, I also treat gaslighting as a theme that tends to occur in situations with trust, such as at home or in the workplace.
That is why I believe there is meaning in putting it into words, making the structure visible, and increasing the number of clues that help people realize, “Something is wrong here.”
I wrote these two books with that same feeling in mind.
To everyone who read these books
This time, in Amazon’s “Trauma Psychology” category, having so many people pick up these books and place them at No. 1 and No. 3 is a huge encouragement to me.
Thank you very much to everyone who read them, kept them in mind, and shared them.
I hope they reach the people who need them.
I hope that people in pain can feel, “I wasn’t the only one.”
And I hope that the issue of hard-to-see psychological control is understood a little more correctly.
With that wish in mind, I want to keep writing.
